FINAL MAJOR PROJECT

For our final major project we had the choice to pick what we wanted to create. I decided to create a collection of zines all about women. I names it 'Pour Femme', which in French translates to 'for women'. The idea was to create a creative platform for women to be able talk about relatable problems and issue that we all go through, but don't necessarily talk about. They consist of four editions, all riso printed on different shades of pink paper. Visually, they are mainly image based with minimal writing, consisting of personal photography. 

I created an Instagram for my zines. It shows the photography I done for the project, colour schemes, printing processes and art work created.  The colour scheme I went for was pink with red riso ink. I original wanted to go for pink paper with blue riso ink, but after doing some experimentation, I thought that the red and pink combination worked a lot better. I cover topics such as body image, mental health, sex and independent artists.
